INDEPENDENT STRATEGIC ADVISORY

LEGAL / PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy policy.

What we collect when you visit this site or get in touch, what we do with it, and what we deliberately do not do.

01

Who is responsible for your information

ConsultIN L.L.C-FZ, a free-zone company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the controller of the personal information described here. In this policy, “ConsultIN”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company.

This policy covers consultin.io, enquiries you send us, calls you book with us, and information we handle in the course of an advisory engagement. You can reach us at hello@consultin.io about anything in it.

02

What we collect

Three kinds of information, and no more than we need for the work:

  • Information you give us. Your name, email address, organisation, role and whatever you choose to put in a message when you email us or book a call.

  • Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server data — IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and timestamps — which we use to keep the site running, secure and reasonably fast.

  • Engagement information. Material exchanged while we are working together. This is governed first by the confidentiality terms of the engagement, and by this policy only where those terms are silent.

03

What we deliberately do not do

This site carries no analytics, no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts and no third-party marketing tags. We do not build profiles of visitors, and we never sell, rent or trade personal information.

The typeface is served from our own domain rather than a font provider, so simply reading a page here does not announce your visit to a third party.

04

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Our scheduling provider, Calendly, may set its own cookies once you open its booking page. That happens on their domain and under their privacy policy, not ours. The same is true of LinkedIn if you follow the link to our page there.

05

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Answer enquiries and correspond with you.

  • Arrange, prepare for and hold meetings and calls.

  • Deliver advisory services and keep proper records of the work.

  • Run conflict-of-interest and onboarding checks before accepting an engagement.

  • Meet legal, regulatory, tax and professional obligations that apply to us.

  • Protect the site and our systems against misuse.

06

Our lawful basis

Where the UAE Personal Data Protection Law applies, we rely on the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the practice, compliance with a legal obligation, and — where none of those fit — your consent.

Where you are in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction whose data protection law reaches our processing, we rely on the equivalent bases under that law.

07

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we share it only where there is a reason to:

  • Service providers who help us operate — hosting, email, and the scheduling tool used to book calls. They act on our instructions and only for those purposes.

  • Professional advisers, such as our own legal and accounting advisers, where they need it.

  • Authorities and regulators, where the law requires disclosure or we need to establish or defend a legal claim.

08

Where it is processed

We are based in the United Arab Emirates and work with clients internationally, so information may be processed outside the country where you are — including by the providers named above.

Where a transfer is subject to legal safeguards, we put appropriate ones in place before it happens.

09

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are kept only as long as they are useful to the conversation, and then deleted.

Engagement records are kept for as long as the engagement runs and then for the period our legal, tax and professional obligations require, after which they are deleted or anonymised.

10

Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of what we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit.

No system is perfectly secure, and ordinary email is not a secure channel. Please do not send confidential or sensitive material by email before an engagement and a suitable confidentiality arrangement are in place.

11

Your rights

Subject to the law that applies to you, you can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you have given. You can also ask us to transfer it elsewhere where that right applies.

Email hello@consultin.io to exercise any of these. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and may need to verify who you are first. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the data protection authority in your jurisdiction.

12

Children

This site and our services are directed at organisations and professional audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, write to us and we will delete it.

13

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices or the tools we use change. The version published here is the one in force, and the date above tells you when it last changed.
